Getting started with FC Mobile Beta

A first evening in the Limited Beta without wasting it on live-game habits.

Getting Started

The EA SPORTS FC Mobile Limited Beta is a second icon on your phone, not a patch. If you treat it like the live club, you will hunt a login button that does not exist and paste codes into a mailbox that cannot receive them. This page is the first-session script for 25 August–13 September 2026: install, accept Guest, touch every new system once, then write down what felt wrong. After that hour, the beta first look is the verdict page. The live 27 Season Update on 24 September is a different calendar — third anniversary.

If the Play Store listing is hidden in your country, stop here and open how to download plus the beta access checker. iPhone testers should use iOS TestFlight instead of hunting an App Store listing. Do not skip ahead to Gauntlet if you are still on the live app.

Minute 0–10: confirm you are in the test app

The store title is EA SPORTS FC Mobile Limited Beta. The package on Android is com.ea.gp.fifamobilebeta. The live game stays installed beside it. EA’s FAQ is explicit: this is another app you must download; you cannot play the Limited Beta “inside” the current game.

On first launch you should see a Guest path. There is no Facebook / Google / Apple link screen that writes into your live club. If you found a login that looks like live FC Mobile, you opened the wrong icon.

Minute 10–20: accept what the sandbox will delete

Write these four facts on a note, because they save arguments later:

  1. Guest only. Account linking is disabled.
  2. No carry-over. Player items, OVR, and progress stay in the test.
  3. No purchases. Pack shops that take real money are off. Rewarded ads are off.
  4. No live codes. How to redeem is for the other icon.

The sandbox still gives you a stacked squad so you can test 120 OVR toys. That is not your October club. Spend emotion on systems, not on a card you will lose.

Minute 20–35: one match to feel PlayStyles

Start in PvE or the beta’s friendly match flow. Look for PlayStyle indicators on the player item and during the action (icons, shot trail, tackle radius). You are not here to win a weekend league. You are here to notice that a Rapid winger and a Bruiser midfielder no longer feel like reskins of the same swipe.

The full identity list lives in the PlayStyles guide. The four extras in this Limited Beta are Incisive Through Pass, Dead Ball, Driven Lob Through, and Slide Tackle. If you only try one extra, try Incisive Through on a CAM and Slide Tackle on a CB so you feel both sides of the ball.

Minute 35–50: save Game Plans before you rage-quit

Open the lineup screen and create four Game Plans. A sane default set:

  1. Balanced + the formation you already play live (often 4-3-3 or 4-4-2).
  2. Attacking + a higher line.
  3. Defensive + an extra center back or a double pivot.
  4. Ultra Attacking as a chase plan when you are losing.

EA’s official screenshot uses a 4-4-2 Flat with Attack mentality. Copy that as plan two if you have no opinion yet. Switching plans during a match is the whole feature. If you only edit tactics in the menus, you have not tested Game Plans.

Minute 50–70: one Gauntlet round, not a full grind

Gauntlet Mode is the squad-depth exam. Each round has match objectives, Traits, and House Rules. Player items have limited appearances, including the bench. You cannot run the same XI three times in a row and call it depth.

Play one round. Note:

  • Which House Rule made your favorite formation illegal or weak.
  • Whether Auto Recommend picked a sensible second XI.
  • How Stars mapped to the reward chest.

You are not eliminated from the whole Gauntlet on a single loss (community write-ups describe continuing for worse rewards). Still play to win — Stars matter.

What not to do on night one

  • Do not factory-reset the live app to “make space.” Keep both.
  • Do not enter live codes and wait in the beta inbox.
  • Do not buy a VPN subscription before you read beta access. Some countries already see the listing.
  • Do not treat creator 40–0 Gauntlet clips as the live H2H meta. House Rules can multiply goals. See what’s new.

Night two and after

Use the controls page once Slide Tackle or Driven Lob Through starts winning duels you used to lose. Build a second and third XI with the squad building notes so Gauntlet stops surprising you. Peek at Star Scout only after you have two XIs — it is a Guest faucet, not a live investment. Dump feedback on the EA forums linked from the links hub. The test is only useful if someone at EA reads what broke.

When the window closes on 13 September 2026, uninstalling the beta is optional; just remember it will not keep your cards. Your real club is the other icon. Feed that one with Rank Up Tokens from live codes, and keep the muscle memory from Game Plans for the live patch that follows.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers testers actually search for.

Can I log into my main FC Mobile club in the beta?

No. EA disabled every login except Guest. Details are on the Limited Beta notes page.

Will my beta squad move to the live game?

No. Progress does not carry over. Treat the sandbox as a lab, then upgrade the live club with codes.

What should I test if I only have 30 minutes?

One PvE match for PlayStyles and two saved Game Plans. Skip a full Gauntlet grind.

The Play Store does not show the beta. Did I fail the tutorial?

You need the download guide. This page assumes the second icon already exists.

Where do I send bug reports?

EA's Limited Beta forums, listed on the links hub. Also watch official socials for TestFlight waves.
